Day 3
Oh my goodness.... I am going to have to get a lot better at this! I am a day late again...
The things I am grateful for on Saturday 28th December 2013 are:
1. A lovely husband who has put the new bookcase together for me, so I can pretend to get more organized!
2. A kind neighbour who looks after our pussy cats if we go away overnight by feeding them and letting them out the next morning.

3. Lovely food, easily prepared and from scratch! Apricot chicken risotto! Who would believe, I don't normally mix fruit and meat and I don't like risotto! But I loved this and it was one of the best versions last night!

Day 1
I had better get started, forgot to do this last night! The three things I am most grateful for on 26 December 2013 are:
1. A delicious lunch at my favourite restaurant Peppers York Cove at George Town, with my husband! Peter and I both had the steak with celeriac mash, horseradish, pickled beetroot and roated capsicum. It is delicious and had I been at home, i would have licked out the plate, had to settle for using my finger - it's my birthday so I can do what I want!!!
This was followed by crepes with berry fruits, one had blueberries and raspberries, and the other strawberries. I don't know what they do with the strawberries, but they were delicious too!

This was all that was left on my plate! And we had some Evandale pinot noir which had a lovely hint of spicy-ness to it!
2. The lovely birthday wishes from family and friends. Nothing like a birthday to make you feel special! Thanks, guys!
3. My beautiful boys! They were only 5 and 8 when this was taken in 1992... I love them dearly and am very grateful to have them in my life! I am very proud to be their mother and to call them my sons.

This is a photo of one of my favourite photos, which was taken on Toby's 5th birthday! He loved nature, science things! Jonathan looks so serious!

Practicing gratitude
I have decided to make the coming year from today my birthday, to next year on my birthday a practice in gratitude. I have so many reasons to be grateful and happy and need to remind myself to concentrate on them rather than other things...
So, this year I am challenging myself to every day have three things I am grateful, and preferably, one is something new! So that will be 366 x 3 = 1098 entries!
Just a gratuitous one...
Seeing this heron on my walk this morning!
